Position Description:

Owens-Illinois, Inc., (O-I) is the world's leading designer and manufacturer of pure, sustainable, healthy glass containers for many of the world's most well-known food and beverage brands. We are looking for a motivated, talented individual interested in a manufacturing leadership role with significant growth opportunity to join our organization as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic at our Brampton, ON facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshooting / maintaining / repairing electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic machine operations, electric motors, conveyors etc.

• Must be able to work safely in a hot, dirty and loud environment.

Position Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Ontario Provincial Certification / License

  • Certified Electronic Technicians (CET) would be a plus.

  • Prefers 3-5 years related work experience in an industrial environment.

  • Must have experience using hand tools and power tools.

  • Must have experience and basic knowledge of computers and be able to learn programs necessary to carry out job functions.

  • Experience with Mig/Stick Welding and Fabricating parts is a plus.

  • Prefers someone with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read blueprints, diagrams and drawings.

  • Prefers someone with a working knowledge of PLC’s.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis..

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate using English language
