We are looking for a motivated, talented individual interested in a role with significant growth opportunity to join our organization as a HR Manager at our Crenshaw, PA facility.
This position is accountable for delivering human resources support for a manufacturing facility. Challenging and hands-on HR position supports the manufacturing plant through partnering and driving the implementation of HR processes and initiatives throughout the plant promoting a results oriented and performance driven culture. Also interfaces with plant manufacturing team on critical HR initiatives. This position is accountable for the administration and coordination of plant labour relations, employment / recruiting and staffing, benefits administration, wage & salary administration, affirmative action, employee relations, community relations, and response to appropriate governmental agencies.

Ensure the execution of talent management processes including; recruiting & staffing, performance management, employee development and succession planning.
Support the manufacturing plant by providing strategic HR counsel and driving the company’s HR practices.
Evaluate current HR practices and make recommendations for best in class solutions for contemporary HR issues.
Drive high level of employee engagement.
Leads labour and employee relations activities that drive productivity and efficiency.
Provide labour relations counsel throughout the plant with responsibility for grievance administration.
Be a positive and proactive company and employee advocate.
Administer employee benefit and compensation programs and other HR company initiatives as required.
Partner with regional health and safety manager to improve safety performance and reduce workers compensation costs.
SCOPE AND IMPACT
This position is responsible for all aspects of HR processes and initiatives throughout the plant promoting a results oriented and performance driven culture. The person must function equally well in both an office and plant environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree, Completion of a human resources program, additional related training and a CHRP / CHRL designation an asset
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment with modern HR processes.
Experience within production, manufacturing, distribution/warehouse and/or retail environments preferred
Broad knowledge of HR related programs including but not limited to employee engagement, recruitment / hiring, performance management, terminations, attendance management, WSIB & RTW.
Excellent knowledge of legislation governing employment in Ontario including ESA and AODA
A 'hands on' interest in HR activities while being equally effective executing HR programs directly or coaching managers to implement HR related strategies
Computer proficient using MS Office especially Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiar with a payroll systems, HRIS and/or ATS
Strategic and critical thinker with business acumen; analytical and project management skills
Superior interpersonal and communication skills including listening to both employees and management
Demonstrated mediation and conflict resolution skills
Outstanding time management, organizational and planning skills with a focus on accuracy and details
Empathetic and confidential in dealing with sensitive employee issues.
This position reports to the Plant Manager, with a dotted line to the Regional HR Manager.
This position may require occasional travel within North America.
