We are currently seeking a HR Manager - Global Functions to join our team at our World Headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
The Human Resources Leader for Global Functions is responsible for providing strategic HR guidance that is focused on delivering business results. The HR Leader is also responsible for leading and deploying the strategic initiatives and People System requirements for the functions, developed with the functional teams. The HR Leader collaborates with regional leadership teams to ensure milestones are established and achieved.

Leads the development and actively portfolio-manages the functional People Plans to ensure efficient and effective resources, priority and focus.
Improves organizational results by measuring and assessing performance, effectively diagnosing root cause and implementing innovative solutions
Develops and shares HR best practices across the business and function
Creates and implements optimal organizational designs and structures to enable the strategy and objectives of the business
Execute effective change management and facilitate interventions proactively
Ensure compliance and alignment with relevant regulations and requirements pertaining to the management of HR to minimize risk and exposure to the company
Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to the global functions business leaders
Provides timely and meaningful coaching with confidence and candor.
Coach and educate leaders so they are fully capable and accountable to own, improve and accelerate business results
Fills open positions with speed and with extraordinary talent, using the appropriate mix of internal promotions and external recruitment to satisfy near-term performance and longer-term succession needs of the organization
Leverages and maximizes all tools, technology and resources to develop talent; including O-I Centers of Excellence and functional and business team members
Active in personal development and viewed as a model to peers and client groups
Providing coaching and guidance to the HR generalist on the Global Function HR team
Teams with other leaders across the HR function to maximize performance, lead change and grow talent
Is an effective and participatory member of Global Functions HR team. Shares best practices within team and with other HR generalists
Is regarded by the employees of O-I as a role model for their growth, development and conduct
Provide appropriate headcount forecast and workforce planning reports to leadership
Provide key performance indicators on talent acquisition, performance management, development, succession planning, remuneration and turnover
SCOPE AND IMPACT
Manages and coordinates HR activities with the global functions and is involved on global level with specific functional People Systems and key talent decisions. Partners with global functions leaders to help define capability and talent needs and this role will provide pro-active planning and day to day solutions.
This role reports to the Vice President of Human Resources for Global Functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management. Master’s degree preferred.
10 - 12 years generalist experience, including global responsibilities.
Experience leading change, action and results effectively
Successful experience creating and accelerating a high performance organization.
Developing and implementing strategies and plans for a human resources function.
Attracting, developing and retaining outstanding talent.
Implementing successful employee relations strategies and programs.
Assesses the environment and successfully identifies opportunities and closes gaps to accelerate business performance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding time management skills
Approachable, coachable and open to feedback and conducts self with the highest ethical and moral standards
