We are currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our team at our World Headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
Responsibilities and Duties
Requested Process Engineer is responsible for aiding process technology selection and equipment evaluation in support of new generation process development at O-I. This position is also responsible to support the team leader to develop Batch House equipment, process specifications and determine raw material selection.
This position is expected to have effective communication skills and be a bridge between the team leader and vendors. Understand objectives, provide solutions to problems, capable of preparing appropriate recommendations to a technical leader. This position is also expected to understand and conclude vendors’ technology or equipment performance, and must be capable of writing technology evaluation reports.
The candidate must have a talent for identifying the potential advantages and disadvantages of the vendor technology and for making relevant measurements to provide data and information that drive technical solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Chemical, Materials, Glass Technology or similar.
Exposure working in cross-functional teams in a R&D or manufacturing environment.
Exposure in evaluating vendor technology and process/equipment
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze, summarize and report technical information and site investigations
Ability to lead the task and be a self-starter, motivated individual who works independently. Detail-oriented, highly organized team player
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external customers
Prefer working experience in Glass Manufacturing.
Possible travel 30%
